Pause and try this simple practice from Thich Nhat Hanh:

“Breathe in, and close your eyes.

Breathe out, and smile.”

Go slowly, my lovely moon, go slowly.

Take your time, please be gentle.

Take it easy, but take it.

I breathe slowly, naturally. As I inhale, I think, I love myself. Then I exhale and let out whatever the response in my mind and body is, whether there is one or not. That's it. Simple.

If I take things slowly today in order to appreciate life better, and if I take time to listen to the messages that life sends me, then I will have less time to do the things I need to do today. Then tomorrow I will have to do everything that much faster and I will be that much more unable to appreciate life. It is dangerous to stop and smell the roses.

Today, I will relax, breathe, and go with the flow.

If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing slowly … very slowly.

When you find something you really enjoy, do it slowly.

Go easy. You may have to push forward, but you don’t have to push so hard. Go in gentleness, go in peace. Do not be in so much of a hurry. At no day, no hour, no time are you required to do more than you can do in peace.
