I'm proud that I was able to start with nothing, plan it, and have it work as perfectly as it did... I sleep clearly every night.

I didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing at the time. I wanted something unique, something special, something challenging, something that would be fulfilling.

What drove me? I think most creative people want to express appreciation for being able to take advantage of the work that's been done by others before us. I didn't invent the language or mathematics I use. I make little of my own food, none of my own clothes. Everything I do depends on other members of our species and the shoulders that we stand on. And a lot of us want to contribute something back to our species and to add something to the flow. It's about trying to express something in the only way that most of us know how-because we can't write Bob Dylan songs or Tom Stoppard plays. We try to use the talents we do have to express our deep feelings, to show our appreciation of all the contributions that came before us, and to add something to that flow. That's what has driven me.

There was no interference, nothing on a creative level, you have the idea, you go for it. And that's what it was like with all the shows made back then, it was that attitude that really created Nickelodeon and made the show as good as it was.

I was stepping into land unknown. But for my love for fashion and a passion for what I was about to venture into, I really knew nothing. I had no formal training or experience in the industry. It was my love for it, my determination to see it through and I guess my ‘naïveté’ that spurred me on.

I've always been obsessed with creating stuff, I spent my spare time doodling, making music, writing... basically all the different aspects of making a game. I just didn't know at the time that I would find a way to combine all those things to bring a cohesive vision to life.

I was frustrated waiting tables when I knew I could make video... I didn't have any professional experience or a portfolio of work, so I decided to make stuff on my own for free.

Success for me is whether you have created something that you can be really proud of.

My courage has always been music, I had to start my music career from the zero level because there were no known people in the industry. But I was never really afraid. The love of music alone did not show any hardships. The only thing in my mind is to add life to the director’s vision through music.

Indian contemporary artists have not come to this standard. So I feel happy that I could present something to them. My work has a different meaning and something like this has never been done by any other Indian artist.

What am I proud of, and what can I be proud of as an artist? Of the decision that separated and isolated me forever from everything ordinary.

I thought that for this musical genre there was nothing better than being original.

You know, I just wanted to invent something which came from within me with the help of the vision that Mikhil Musale the director and the co-writer of the script had so together we kind of built on, because I actually didn’t really do that
