I want equality and justice for everyone.

I want God, I want poetry, I want danger, I want freedom, I want sin.

desire to rectify all injustice that I may have done to individuals,

I should like to be able to love my country and still love justice.

If the public do not see justice done I will seek revenge for the name and character which has been given to me and my relations, while God gives me strength to pull a trigger.

Most of authors seek fame, but I seek for justice — a holier impulse than ever entered into the ambitious struggles of the votaries of that fickle, flirting goddess.

I was guilty and irritated and full of love and pain. I wanted to kick him and I wanted to take him in my arms.

All pain is a punishment, and every punishment is inflicted for love as much as for justice.

I know that I want to make sure that I do everything I can to get justice for those people, and it’s beyond justice now. I’m looking at a full-on reform if it’s the last thing I do.

As for myself — there is but one desire — to love God as He has never been loved — with deep personal love.

To hate man and worship God seems to be the sum of all the creeds.

I want to suffer so that I may love.

I want to reconcile myself with heaven, I want to love, I want to pray, I want to believe in good.
