وهدر في الاتجاه المعاكس قطار سريع آخر ومضاء.

سأل الأمير الصغير: " هل عادوا بهذه السرعة؟
قال محول السكة: ليسوا نفس الأشخاص. إن المسافرين يتغيرون.

قال الأمير الصغير: ألا يشعرون بالرضا حيث كانوا؟
قال محول السكة: لا يشعر الناس بالرضا أبدا حيث هم.

استفسر الأمير الصغير: أيطاردون المسافرين الذين سبقوهم؟
