God alone knows what a man's real calling is.

He in whose heart the law was, and who alone of all mankind was content to do it, His sacrifice alone can be the sacrifice all-sufficient in the Father's sight as the proper sacrifice of humanity; He who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, He alone can give the Spirit which enables us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. He is the only High-Priest of the universe.

God, if he believed in Him, and his conscience, if he had one, were the only judges to whom he was answerable.

Only mankind Can do the impossible: He can distinguish, He chooses and judges, He can give permanence To the moment.

For judgment appertains to God alone.

God alone knows the future, but only an historian can alter the past.

Only he who has the power to punish can pardon.

Only God knows that. He is the only one who knows. He is only one who will know. And he is the only one who does know.

He alone may chastise who loves.

This expression of abandon and surrender, of absolute trust, he reserved for the master alone.

God only is wise.

Lord of myself, accountable to none,
But to my conscience, and my God alone.

We have this day restored the Sovereign to whom alone all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in Heaven, and with a propitious eye beholds his subjects assuming that freedom of thought, and dignity of self-direction which He bestowed on them. From the rising to the setting sun, may His kingdom come.

There is deliverance in store only for the man who gives up his selfishness, and whose sole aim is to please the Lord and to do what is right in his sight.
