When I'm out of politics I'm going to run a business, it'll be called rent-a-spine

I will leave politics when I leave life.

With my experience as a businessman, I will create jobs for the youth. I'll run Ghana like a business until an unprecedented transformation is achieved to benefit every citizen.

I will undoubtedly have to seek what is happily known as gainful employment, which I am glad to say does not describe holding public office.

When I'm not longer rappin', I want to open up an ice cream parlor and call myself Scoop Dogg.

I am my own person. I will be the president. It will be his turn to run the company.

I’m not into politics any more.

I shall within a few days divest myself of the anxieties and the labors with which I have been oppressed, and retire with inexpressible delight to my family, my friends, my farms, and books. There I may indulge at length in that tranquillity and those pursuits from which I have been divorced by the character of the times in which I have lived, and which have forced me into the line of political life under a sense of duty and against a great and constant aversion to it.

I’m going to be an entrepreneur so I can be free. Free to do whatever I want, whenever I want, with whomever I want.

I have decided to step down and show a sign of political responsibility

Politics is not my life. I have a career in radio and another career in film. I have a wife who is the sweetest person in the world and two kids who are growing up into terrific, well-rounded people. I don't want to spend the rest of my life in politics. When I'm finished with my term as governor, I'm going back to the life that's waiting for me in the private sector.

It was a good way to end my political career.

As soon as baseball becomes a job, as soon as I stop caring, as soon as the smile goes away, I'll hang up my spikes and do something else.

So my plan is to only serve the American people. So I will divest, and I will sell all of my interests, all of my business interests, all of my assets, everything. I've worked together with the Office of Government Ethics, and we've reached agreement on how to do that. And I will be divesting within 90 days upon my confirmation. So I should have no business interest, therefore, no conflicts of interest. I've made the decision that I've made enough money in my life. I can take care of myself, I can take care of my family. It is now my chance to serve the American people.
