It is your belief that you are being held back that holds you back.

If you are too busy to think then you are too busy.

If you hold back on the emotions — if you don't allow yourself to go all the way through them — you can never get to being detached, you're too busy being afraid.

It sounds as if you are trapped in a cycle of thinking about yourself and how you don't belong in the world.

But the problem with entitlement is that it makes people need to feel good about themselves all the time, even at the expense of those around them. And because entitled people always need to feel good about themselves, they end up spending most of their time thinking about themselves. After all, it takes a lot of energy and work to convince yourself that your shit doesn’t stink, especially when you’ve actually been living in a toilet.

Too many people are stuck because they over-consume and under-create.

If you can’t hold your calendar in your head, you’re too busy.

If your backlog of stuff isn't zero'd regularly, you're hostage to your own incessant angst that you should.

Holding on too long is just a fear of letting go.

You think you’re being productive but no, actually you’re just busy.

My mind is so busy thinking about values that I don't have time to experience them.

See, you get caught up in the past and you become useless to the present.

...burdened with the unbearable weight of ourselves.

Fearing discovery of their “fraudulence,” they burden themselves with too much work to compensate for their lack of self-esteem and identity. Work/life balance is a meaningless concept to them.
