The problem isn’t that we don’t know how not to get punched in the face. The problem is that, at some point, likely a long time ago, we got punched in face, and instead of punching back, we decided we deserved it.

The things you think will make you happy are usually just distractions from the things that actually will.

If you’re stuck on a
problem, don’t sit there and think about it; just start working on it. Even if you don’t know what
you’re doing, the simple act of working on it will eventually cause the right ideas to show up in your
head.
