I feel something troubling inside of me which scares me, an exhausting violence. But I accept the great adventure of being me.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

I elect to be…myself.

When you accept yourself, the whole world accepts you.

God made me the way I am, and I accept myself. I am who I am, and I'm proud of myself.

I accept the universe.

When I accept myself as I am, then I change. I believe that I have learned this from my clients as well as within my own experience — that we cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed.

I like taking risks and I decided to put every bit of me into the role.

It seems to me to have value because the curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am, then I change.

To embrace “WHAT” I AM TO MANY NOT “WHO” I AM.

I have accepted the challenge of being a Negro in America and of being an American first.

I am the me I choose to be.
