Lust is addicted to novelty.

Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need.

Nowhere, except perhaps in the analogous society of pagan Rome, has there ever been such a flowering of cheap and petty and disgusting lusts and vanities as in the world of capitalism, where there is no evil that is not fostered and encouraged for the sake of making money. We live in a society whose whole policy is to excite every nerve in the human body and keep it at the highest pitch of artificial tension, to strain every human desire to the limit and to create as many new desires and synthetic passions as possible, in order to cater to them with the products of our factories and printing presses and movie studios and all the rest.

Mind-changing is the road to advertising disaster.

This supposed idyllic society we have is the most confused, warped, addicted society in the history of the world. We are addicted to power, we're addicted to our own image of ourselves, to violence, divorce, abortion, and sex. Any whim of the human character is deeded in us 100-fold. We're number one in child abuse, pornography, divorce, all of these categories; that's how we get paid back. You can't project something on someone else that is damaging that person and not become that yourself, it seems to me.

We find that whole communities suddenly fix their minds upon one object, and go mad in its pursuit; that millions of people become simultaneously impressed with one delusion, and run after it, till their attention is caught by some new folly more captivating than the first.

Whether this desire for sex is moderate or not, it is usually called lust.

Passion creates, addiction consumes.

The art of advertisement, after the American manner, has introduced into all our life such a lavish use of superlatives, that no standard of value whatever is intact.

The lust of lucre has so totally seized upon mankind, that their wealth seems rather to possess them, than they to possess their wealth.

Be more than motivated, be more than driven, become literally obsessed to the point where people think you're fucking nuts.

The road to hell is littered with ads.

The young habitually mistake lust for love, they're infested with idealism of all kinds.
