The Way of learning and inquiry is no other than to seek for one's lost heart.

Human-heartedness is man's mind. Righteousness is man's path. How sad that he abandons that path and does not rely on it; that he loses that mind and does not know to seek it. When a man has lost a cock or a dog, he knows to seek it, but having lost his (proper) mind, he does not know to seek it. The Way of Learning is nothing other than seeking the lost mind

On learning. — Learning is discovery, the discovery of the cause of our ignorance. However, the best way of learning is not the computation of information. Learning is discovering, uncovering what is there in us. When we discover, we are uncovering our own ability, our own eyes, in order to find our potential, to see what is going on, to discover how we can enlarge our lives, to find means at our disposal that will let us cope with a difficult situation. And all this, I maintain, is taking place in the here and now.

To learn the way of the Buddha is to learn about oneself. To learn about oneself is to forget oneself. To forget oneself is to be enlightened by everything
in the world. To be enlightened by everything in the world is to let fall one's own body and mind.

There is only one way to learn. It's through action. Everything you need to know you have learned through your journey.

Learning implies a mind that doesn't know.

To study the way of enlightenment is to study the self. To study the self is to forget the self. To forget the self is to be actualized by myriad things. When actualized by myriad things, your body and mind as well as the bodies and minds of others drop away. No trace of enlightenment remains, and this no-trace continues endlessly.

Learning without thought is labour lost; thought without learning is perilous.

The best way to learn was by looking, to become articulate in the language of sight. The eye could learn to look after itself. (p. 180).

True learning must not be content with ideas, which are, in fact, signs, but must discover things in their individual truth.

For only by knowledge of that which is not
Thyself shall thyself be learn'd.

Sometimes, the only way to learn something really well is to revert to the state of mind of a novice and reawaken to the raw observations that you have accumulated instead of relying on the conclusions you have reached from the exogenous premises absorbed through teaching and bookish learning.
