People overvalue their knowledge and underestimate the probability of their being wrong.

Perhaps you are overvaluing what you don’t have and undervaluing what you do.

To overvalue something is a form of lying.

People tend to underestimate how much things can change, and this causes them to undervalue ideas that aren't viable now but could be in the future.

The other issue with overvaluing material success is the danger of prioritizing it over other values, such as honesty, nonviolence, and compassion. When people measure themselves not by their behavior, but by the status symbols they’re able to collect, then not only are they shallow, but they’re probably assholes as well.

There is far too great a disproportion between what one is and what others think one is, or at least what they say they think one is.

The More we value things, the less we value ourselves

Too many people today know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Being unique is highly over rated.

We underestimate the value of what each one of us can do.

People calculate too much and think too little.

I am worried about our tendency to over invest in things and under invest in people.

Most people overestimate what they can do in a year and they underestimate what they can do in two or three decades.

One is apt to overestimate beauty when it is rare.
