Problems seldom go away if they’re ignored.

The greatest and most important problems of life cannot be solved. They can
only be outgrown.

There’s always another problem behind the one you just solved. Does that mean that you should stop solving problems?

The serious problems in life...are never fully solved. If ever they should appear to be so it is a sure sign that something has been lost. The meaning and purpose of a problem seem to lie not in its solution but in our working at it incessantly.

Real problems sooner or later are resolved; on the contrary, pseudoproblems are not.

The problems that agitate one generation are exstinguished for the next, not because they have been solved but because the general lack of interest sweeps them away.

The greatest and most important problems of life are all in a certain sense insoluble…. They can never be solved, but only outgrown…. This ‘outgrowing’, as I formerly called it, on further experience was seen to consist in a new level of consciousness. Some higher or wider interest arose on the person’s horizon, and through this widening of view, the insoluble problem lost its urgency. It was not solved logically in its own terms, but faded out when confronted with a new and stronger life-tendency.

If a problem has no solution, it may not be a problem, but a fact, not to be solved, but to be coped with over time.

If a problem can be solved it will be. If it can not be solved there is no use worrying about it.

Most of my issues that mankind sets out to settle, it never does settle… The dispute fades into the past unsolved, though perhaps it may be renewed as history and fought over again. It disappears because it is replaced by some compromise that, although not wholly acceptable to either side, offers a tolerable substitute for victory…

These problems do not disappear just because we do not hear about them. There is so much more happening around the world than what is communicated to us about the top stories we do hear. We all need to look deeper and discover for ourselves.... What is the problem? Where is it? How can we help to solve it?

Problems do not go away. They must be worked through or else they remain, forever a barrier to the growth and development of the spirit.
