To say that schools fail to produce an informed, critically minded, democratic citizenry is to overlook the fact that schools were never intended for that purpose.

I have never uttered a word in favour of universal suffrage either in this House or elsewhere.

I do not believe that people who go on strike in this country have a legitimate cause. Throughout the period of the Labour Government and this one, I have never supported any strikes in this country.

I cannot ridicule their every idea but in most things my vote is against the education system.
