"I try to split up creative days and workdays. If I am designing something, then my entire day from start to end will just be designing".

We must use time creatively.

In return for ten minutes of pleasure they design the rest of the day.

It’s all we can do. Otherwise we’ll go crazy. It’s a really good time [for creativity]. People will probably look back on these few months and say these Americans were pretty creative during this virus. Some artists are using it to their advantage: making videos and coming up with songs. As a cartoonist, I'm simply on that train.

I got into the make-up chair one hour before my call. I got my make up, hair, and costume all done up and then had a bit of breakfast. We start filming till lunchtime. I am not used in every shot so when I have breaks I go in my room and do schoolwork. After lunch we go back to work, I go on and off set a normal day. When we wrap for the day I go home and go relax, swimming or maybe to the movies.

It's astonishing what a lot of odd minutes one can catch during the day, if one really sets about it.

I describe what I do on the day that I do it. The nice thing for me is that I do lots of different things on lots of different days.

For young actors, the more you can stand around or sit there—-even when you’re not shooting-—just sit there on the set and shut up for three hours, you’ll learn more in one day than you’ll ever learn in film school.

Whatever you choose, it’s helpful to have fellow travelers around you. They don’t have to be like you, just like-minded in some way. Creativity is contagious. When we spend time with other artistic people, we absorb and exchange a way of thinking, a way of looking at the world. This group can be called a Sangha. Each person in this relationship begins seeing with a different imaginative eye.
