In an era when so many women are stepping up to lead, I'm hoping people will focus on our ideas and accomplishments instead of our appearance.

We have to prove ourselves, women, we can do it maybe even better.

Successful women don’t reach their goals because they are geniuses but because they are determined to do so. Never be satisfied with small things. Ladies working in the same professional should develop forums where they can discuss issues.

What goes unsaid is that women might be more ambitious and focused because we’ve never had a choice. We’ve had to fight to vote, to work outside the home, to work in environments free of sexual harassment, to attend the universities of our choice, and we’ve also had to prove ourselves over and over to receive any modicum of consideration.

For me, it’s about embracing our inner beauty and having it seen outwardly. The root of it is not about being valued for looks; it is about empowerment and Black women owning who they were and their own place in history.

We need women to have self-confidence that they can change, that this is the revolution we need and this is the revolution we deserve.

I think that whatever size or shape body you have, it's important to embrace it and get down! The female body is something that's so beautiful. I wish women would be proud of their bodies and not dis other women for being proud of theirs!

I’d like for women to be judged on their skills and competence, not on their physique.

What drives me is the urge to succeed. I always want to be successful with whatever I do. I also have passion for acting and fashion, which are the things I do. People who follow me on social media can attest to the fact that I’m a very trendy person. Apart from acting, I have other streams of income. I am not a lazy person and I believe that I have not even achieved half of my dreams.

When you see somebody that looks like you, you think it's achievable. If you can't see it, you can't be it. So that starts with us being women at the top, but obviously then it's about being a diverse group of women.

So while in men’s magazines success is a power tool to get sex and love, and therefore the look of success is crucial, in women’s magazines love and sex are power tools to get success—and therefore both the look of love and the sexual tease/promise are crucial.

I’m interested in women as a whole, not simply as three holes.
