There is need for the women to work together in collaboration with men and integrate young women into leadership.

The women need more support in Nigerian politics as politics is seen as a "Man's World."

Even if you find yourself as a woman in a man’s world, it is not for you to feel that there’s a battle you are fighting with the men. A lot of us women, we miss it. We think that we are in some kind of war and we have to go out there and fight the men and prove that we can do it, that is not so. Rather, I think we should see ourselves as co-developers in the nation’s progress.

Today’s woman needs to see herself bond better with her fellow women because together we achieve more.

I’ve been asked, ‘Do you mind living in a man’s world?’ I always answer, ‘Not as long as I can be a woman in it’.

This is a mans world.
This is a mans world.
But it would be nothing, nothing
Without a women or a girl.

It’s still very much a different world for men and women.

The more women help one another, the more we help ourselves. Acting like a coalition truly does produce results.

Any coalition of support must also include men, many of whom care about gender inequality as much as women do.

It’s a difficult thing for a woman to say, because I would really like more working women in all kinds of jobs, being a working woman myself.

Isn't it sad? In our world, women also don't support other women enough — how often do we really work together to make a difference? We are sometimes so vicious toward one another. We want to be independent women, but we really don't know who we are as women. It's about us taking control, because we tend to just blame. We complain about the world, but we are still not loving toward other women.

I think a movement of women coming forward and saying we’re not what society says we are should also be a men’s movement. I wish men would be evaluating themselves. I see a lot of defensiveness in the bad men and a lot of ‘I’m not going to talk about myself, let’s only talk about women’ in the good men and that’s kind of a shame.

We as women need to band together as a sisterhood stemming our petty quarrels the world is for the taking and we are the takers.

Empowering women must include men

Women, let’s support each other and collaborate; that’s what the mind-set change is about.
