3292. Love me, love my Dog.

I love my dog as much as I love you But you may fade, my dog will always come through.

I am I because my little dog knows me.

The more boys I meet, the more I love my dog.

To your dog, you are the greatest, the smartest, the nicest human being who was ever born.

The more I see of Mankind, the more I prefer my dog.

I am I because my little dog knows me. That does not prove anything about [me] it only proves something about the dog.

In many respects, my best friends were dogs.

The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.

… nobody loves you the way your dog loves you. When you’re with your dog, you may mentally be elsewhere, but your dog is not; your dog is always right there with you. When you’re gone, your dog is waiting for you to come back, so it can be with you again. Because being with you makes your dog happier than anything else.

The more i get to know people, the more i like dogs.

And it is very true that the most tender, complicated, most generous part of our being blossoms without any effort, when it comes to the love of a dog.

You are a mystery in an enigma in a big ball of fur,
An irresistible magnet to every child and flea and burr.
Your nose is high-resolution while I live in a near-scentless fog
You run at high speed, while I just have to slog (but it's a good ol' slog)
So I just want to thank you for being my dog....

All I could do now was offer him comfort, the assurance that as he left this life he was not alone but rather was tended by the dog who loved him more than anything in the whole world.
