I made a list of things that I might consider sin if the concept of sin were valid:</br>Number 1: Credulity, gullibility. I'd say that's a sin.</br>Voluntary willful ignorance. I'd say that's a sin.</br>Letting fear prevent you from understanding reality. I'd call that a sin.</br>Limiting the rights and freedoms of others in order to make them abide by your standards. That's a sin.</br>Sacrificing the mental, emotional and physical well-being of a child in deference to your religion. That's a sin.</br>Wasting the one and only life that you know you're going to have, worrying about and working for an afterlife that somebody told you might be there. That's a sin.

A sin is anything that you do which goes against yourself.

Sin, he reflected, is not what it is usually thought to be; it is not to steal and tell lies. Sin is for one man to walk brutally over the life of another and to be quite oblivious of the wounds he has left behind.

Suicide, is a persons privilege. I don't believe it's a sin or a crime it's your right if you do. Though it doesn't get you anywhere.

If you're tolerating sin in your life, my friend, don't waste your breath praying unless it's a prayer of confession.

My definition of a sin is for humans to allow a species to die out. Animals cannot speak for themselves – it is up to all of us to protect them and their habitats.

I don't believe that gay sex is a sin

A sin is anything that you do which goes against yourself. Everything you feel or believe or say that goes against yourself is a sin. You go against yourself when you judge or blame yourself for anything. Being without sin is exactly the opposite. Being impeccable is not going against yourself. When you are impeccable, you take responsibility for your actions, but you do not judge or blame yourself.

Anything done against faith or conscience is sinful.

Sin, sin! To rid myself of boredom by committing a crime, to break up monotony by deceiving. To sin in order to be a new person, another person. To hate life worse than it hated me. To sin so as not to die.

Whatever you do against your better knowledge is sin. (…) Remembering your self is virtue, forgetting your self is sin. (…)

Examine your own hearts. Do you see there any habit or custom which you know is wrong in the sight of God? If you do, don't delay for a moment in attacking it. Resolve at once to lay it aside. Under the plea that it is impossible not to sin, they are given a false sense of security in sinning ... Anyone who hears that it is not possible for him to be without sin will not even try to be what he judges to be impossible, and the man who does not try to be without sin must perforce sin all the time, and all the more boldly because he enjoys the false security of believing that it is impossible for him not to sin ... But if he were to hear that he is able not to sin, then he would have exerted himself to fulfil what he now knows to be possible when he is striving to fulfil it, to achieve his purpose for the most part, even if not entirely.
