I looked up the way I was going and back the way I come and since I wasn't satisfied I stepped off and [found] me a new path.

Break the daily and weekly routine you have set. Get out of that comfortable route.

I now see that I spent most of my life in doing neither what I ought nor what I liked.

I saw other people living life and it became clear. I was 21, and I thought this was not a way to live. I didn’t watch movies anymore. I didn’t watch TV. I was missing out on life and that is when I stopped everything.

I was going to change my clothes, but I changed my mind instead.

I decided I could not be a fig-leaf for this system anymore.

I learned how to look at life in a way that’s different from the way it is where I come from.

"My whole course of life," I observed, "has been desultory, and I am unfitted for any periodically recurring task, or any stipulated labor of body or mind. I have no command of my talents, such as they are, and have to watch the varyings of my mind as I would those of a weathercock."

If you don't like where you are, change it. You're not a tree.

I feel I no longer fit in with these times.

That's when the world opened up. Everything in my life changed when I decided to change me. I didn't need to find the right person. I needed to become the right person.

I thought my life would be different somehow I thought my life would be better by now But it's not, and I don't know where to turn
