We must learn about each other and the power of our diversity.

If you know who you represent and who you are, I think you'll understand the people that you're representing.

Studying others gives us knowledge, but studying yourself ultimately leads to an incredible amount of freedom.

It is so important to learn how other people live; to become familiar with a language that is not your own; to feel like a stranger. You will have great empathy for and great understanding of the world around you.

As you become less of a mystery to yourself, you can start to look at other people with a greater sense of clarity and compassion.

The wiser you get, the more experience you have, and the more you see people for who they are as human beings, as opposed to figures you have to fight against.

There’s got to be a greater knowledge of diversity in Jewish life.

It’s not what you know, it’s what you can learn—and who you can get to know.
