Yeah, I'm motivated. Because first of all, I play high-level sport. I don't want to disappoint my parents, who gave me the opportunity to do it, nor my country, nor my coach, who has been training me for 10 years, nor my staff. I know there are teams that follow me and encourage me. So this is my way of saying thank you. That's where I draw my determination.

I really love to skate, I really love to perform. I want to skate for my fans. I never feel like a champion. I'm always a challenger.

Translation: The kind of performance I want to show, and the things I want to express, ultimately, I cannot do any of that without being healthy. So firstly, I’d like to take good care of my body and also the people around me. I want to contribute what I can, as seriously as I can and with pride, in order to protect figure skating, which itself is something precious to me.

Courage is exhilarating.

The tough competition pushed me to fight hard and the pressure can be somehow kind of encouragement, motivating me to finish the throws with better skills.

Anytime you see Beyonce, Jay Z, Kanye West. Anytime a young black person's doing good, that's motivation for everybody else. Anytime, anytime, it's motivation. Use that fuel to push you forward. That's what I did

Looking back, it's like, wow, those few minutes just made such an impact. We have that much time to kind of prove yourself. I think that's one thing that makes skating so exciting, because it's just intense, and it's quick, and one little slip can mean the difference between placing or not placing.

I had my dream Olympic skate [in the team event] and to me, I’ve been dreaming of that moment for such a long time, it made me feel like a superhero and superheroes save the day. And I wish I had said that we were all superheroes during the team event.
