There's no way we can raise a positronic brain one inch above the level of perfect materialism. "We can't, damn it, we can't. Not as long as we don't understand what makes our own brains tick. I seemed to be upon the verge of comprehension, without the power to comprehend as men, at time, find themselves upon the brink of rememberance, without being able, in the end, to remember.

I am looking for a lot of men who have and infinite capacity to not know what can’t be done.

Humans are the between before and beyond. Ever elusive and ever tensional.

We are more than all our knowledge. What we know confronts an infinitely encompassing unknown. The world is a mystery, and each of us is a mystery to himself.

Men are different. It is diversity that makes life interesting. There is no common basis in mens minds. The unconscious is inexhaustible and uncontrollable. Its force surpasses us. It is as mysterious as the last particle of a brain cell. Even if we knew it, we could not reconstruct it.

It is only the things we don't understand that have any meaning. Man woke up in a world he did not understand, and that is why he tries to interpret it.

Knowledge … is an unending adventure at the edge of uncertainty.

Man is a mystery. It needs to be unravelled, and if you spend your whole life unravelling it, don't say that you've wasted time. I am studying that mystery because I want to be a human being.
