Distance lends enchantment to the view.

Then you can appreciate everything from a healthy distance.
You can appreciate your country from abroad, once it’s not your only option.
You can appreciate family, once they’re not forced upon you.
You can laugh at the hysteria of the crowd, and learn from it too.

It is amazing how much our admiration takes its tone from the admiration of others; and when to that is added an obvious admiration of ourselves, the charm is irresistible.

The world needs someone they can admire from a distance; from a very far distance.

But for that it is necessary to go beyond avidity; to identify with something beyond achievement, beyond the gathering of power.

Admire as much as you can. Most people do not admire enough.

Those who are actuated by the desire of fame and glory are amazingly gratified by approbation and praise, even though it comes from their inferiors.
