One life - a little gleam of Time between two Eternities.

If consciousness is, as some inhuman thinker has said, nothing more than a flash of light between two eternities of darkness, then there is nothing more execrable than existence.

I seem to be a brief light that flashes but once in all the aeons of time — a rare, complicated, and all-too-delicate organism on the fringe of biological evolution, where the wave of life bursts into individual, sparkling, and multicolored drops that gleam for a moment... only to vanish forever.

There are darknesses in life and there are lights; you are one of the lights, the light of all lights.

One life; a little gleam of Time between two Eternities; no second chance to us for evermore!

The cradle rocks above an abyss, and common sense tells us that our existence is but a brief crack of light between two eternities of darkness.

The very life of any creature is a quick-fading spark in fathomless darkness. That’s God’s truth.

Under such conditioning it seems impossible and even absurd to realize that myself does not reside in the drop alone, but in the whole surge of energy which ranges from the galaxies to the nuclear fields in my body. At this level of existence “I” am immeasurably old; my forms are infinite and their comings and goings are simply the pulses or vibrations of a single and eternal flow of energy.

Life goes on within you and without you.’ I just have a belief that this is only one little bit, the physical world is one little bit of the universe.-

We move between two darknesses.

It seems that the evolutionist must conclude, along with the writer Vladimir Nabokov, that ‘our existence is but a brief crack of light between two eternities of darkness’. Brains that think otherwise – brains that deny they are brains and believe instead that they are eternal souls - are brains that hold false beliefs about themselves.

Light in comparison with darkness is a void.

Life is only a flicker of melted ice.

Between us and heaven or hell there is only life, which is the frailest thing in the world.
