Romance is the deepest thing in life. It is deeper than reality.

"I believe the meaning of life is the relationships we have with each other." 

Love goes very far beyond the physical person of the beloved. It finds its deepest meaning in his spiritual being, his inner self. Whether or not he is actually present, whether or not he is still alive at all, ceases somehow to be of importance.

Deep down inside, we don't seek the meaning of life, but the experience of being alive.

Love lieth deep; Love dwells not in lip-depths.

Life is about relationships

As I said, relationship has true significance only when it is a process of self-revelation, when it is revealing oneself in the very action of relationship. But most of us do not want to be revealed in relationship.

Love life more than the meaning of it?

I have found that winning isn't everything, and, in fact, in the relationships I most care about, it isn't anything.

There is a deeper life than the life we see and hear with the open ear and the open eye and this is the life important and the life everlasting.

He had missed the deepest of all companionships, a relation with the earth itself, with a countryside and a people. That relationship he knew cannot be gone after and found; it must be long and deliberate, unconscious. It must, indeed, be a way of living.

It may well be, therefore, that the true meaning of life is not to be found in what is objective, but in what is subjective (but still universal).

The meaning of earthly existence lies not, as we have grown used to thinking, in prospering but in the development of the soul.

We spend so much time chasing the shallow things in life. But when tragedy strikes, or late at night when your brain asks too many questions, we know it’s the relationships that matter most. Whom can I trust? Does anyone really know me? Does anyone really care? If you think of your happiest moments, they will be about people. The most painful moments will too. Our relationships to others make or break our lives.
