2-3 years max, you almost certainly have to go through this phase, being against your former self

in some ways this is defending you from going back, bootstrapped confidence

but its not a good stance long-term

i dont think most people actually want time or money

many people who pursue money, get shocked that once they have it, time is even better

but after that, eventually people realize, all you really want is a life of caring - work, family, things you care about

for a small portion of people, grinding harder is probably right

for most people, grinding less is ideal. working in sprints, designing for a more sustainable pace.

but those who grind want the best for you, they are just shocked you forgo so much shareholder value

We like to think that once we “make it” we can finally be ourselves, but based on who the companies selected, it was clear that the longer people stay at a company, the higher odds that they would become what the company wanted. I realized I didn’t want that to happen to me.

Most tit for tat sharing has bad assumptions about how ideas spread I think. It’s an outdated top down view of the world.

When I find something cool I share it hundreds of times. I think it’s more valuable to find these people even if they don’t have an audience

so much content is a performance for the algorithm. and much of people complimenting on said content is really congratulating a performance
