4900. There is more pleasure in loving, than in being belov'd.

In the former case we experience pain following upon pleasure, in the latter we enjoy pleasure after pain.

Whoever loves much, performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.

Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.

All this was to make us glad and merry in love.
