Conformity to the world has in all ages proved the ruin of the church. It is utterly impossible to live in nearness to God, and in friendship with the world.

In summary, our world is doomed.

To fight against this lack of understanding, against a whole world of non-understanding, was impossible.

Yet, dare we be at ease? We are part of a world whose unity has been almost completely shattered.

To devastate by language, to blow up the word and with it the world.

We have to heal our wounded world. The chaos, despair, and senseless destruction we see today are a result of the alienation that people feel from each other and their environment.

The modern world seems to have no notion of preserving different things side by side, of allowing its proper and proportionate place to each, of saving the whole varied heritage of culture. It has no notion except that of simplifying something by destroying nearly everything.

Centuries of being attached to the machine had atrophied the languages of the earth.

The world cannot be translated; it can only be dreamed of and touched.

Monarchy and succession have laid (not this or that kingdom only) but the world in blood and ashes.

Um, so, the world is not as wild as it was. Well, we've destroyed it. Not just ruined it. I mean, we have completely... well, destroyed that world. That non-human world is gone. Uh.... The... Human beings have overrun the world.
