The dictators of the world say that if you tell a lie often enough, why, people will believe it. Well, if you tell the truth often enough, they’ll believe it and go along with you.

The president is a liar. Dick Cheney, the chief architect of the Big Lie, is not only a liar, he is a thief.

The difficulty that we have, and I don't mean to be rude here, is that we have a president who is a pathological liar. So, could it be true? I guess it could be. Is it likely to be true? Probably not. And I think what happens in our own country and around the world, people don't believe much of what Trump says, and when you lie all the time, the problem is sometimes when you're telling the truth that people are not gonna believe you.

He lies on a regular basis. He says what he feels that he needs to say for his own benefit, and then he does what he feels that he needs to do for his own benefit as well. And all too often it doesn’t go together.

Borrowing a chapter from the Nazis, they believe that the more often a lie is repeated, the more people are prone to accept it as truth. Nothing is too scandalous for them, and I am constantly amazed at the fact that at one time I was a close associate of people capable of such deceitful behavior.

For aught I know, he may have told that silly tale so oft that he’s come to believe it himself.

He who permits himself to tell a lie once, finds it much easier to do it a second and third time, till at length it becomes habitual; he tells lies without attending to it, and truths without the world's believing him. This falsehood of tongue leads to that of the heart, and in time depraves all its good dispositions.

[N]o matter how outrageous a lie may be, it will be accepted if stated loudly enough and often enough.

Bigotry is an odd thing. To be bigoted you have to be absolutely sure you are right and nothing makes that surety and righteousness like continence. Continence is the foe of heresy.

BIGOT, n. One who is obstinately and zealously attached to an opinion that you do not entertain.

The great masses of people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one. Especially if it is repeated again and again.

A liar is always lavish of oaths.

A lie that is accepted by a sufficient number of ignorant voters becomes a political truth.

If a man repeats a lie over and over, he will eventually accept the lie as truth. Moreover, he will believe it to be the truth.
