Revenge is for children and the emotionally retarded.

We avenge intelligence when we deceive a fool.

I was really gobsmacked.

Revenge is an act of passion; vengeance of justice. Injuries are revenged; crimes are avenged.

Revenge is the mode of ignorance — it’s often said that you can’t fix yourself by breaking someone else. Monks don’t hinge their choices and feelings on others’ behaviors. You believe revenge will make you feel better because of how the other person will react.

Relearn astonishment.

If a Jew wrong a Christian, what is his humility? Revenge.

If they want to be convinced or [are] brainwashed into what they believe, then fine, then go ahead and kill me. But 'vengeance is mine saith the Lord' because you would have executed someone who didn't commit the crime.

Revenge is a king of wild justice.

Revenge is an admission of pain: a mind that is bowed by injury is not a great mind.
