Desde hace mil años me pregunto: ¿qué haré ahora? Y aún no necesito responderme.

If there is one question I dread, to which I have never been able to invent a satisfactory reply, it is the question what am I doing.

I have become a question to myself.

again I am torn between the necessity and the impossibility of answering.

Just as I do not know where I came from, so I do not know where I am going. All I know is that when I leave this world I shall fall forever into oblivion, or into the hands of an angry God, without knowing which of the two will be my lot for eternity. Such is my state of mind, full of weakness and uncertainty. The only conclusion I can draw from all this is that I must pass my days without a thought of trying to find out what is going to happen to me.

There are no answers, only choices.

“I can’t keep giving my will into other people hands no more, ain’t? I have to decide what I want to do for myself.” No answer. It wasn’t going to tell her.

"Sometimes I ask myself, "Do I have the courage to do the right thing when it matters most?" And that answer, I'm afraid, is silence."

"What work do I have to do then?" said Will, but went on at once, "No, on second thought, don't tell me. I shall decide what I do. If you say my work is fighting, or healing, or exploring, or whatever you might say, I'll always be thinking about it. And if I do end up doing that, I'll be resentful because it'll feel as if I didn't have a choice, and if I don't do it, I'll feel guilty because I should. Whatever I do, I will choose it, no one else."

And I don't know what I feel or what I want to feel. I don't know what to think or what I am.

If you ask me to play myself, I will not know what to do. I do not know who or what I am.

I don’t know what the future is. I don’t know-what I’m supposed to want.

I can't think again. Not ever again. I don't know if you've ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years. Or just not exist. Or just not be aware that you do exist. Or something like that.
