"You do your best, we do the rest." That fit the way I felt about God. I was going to give God my best and then it was up to God to do the rest.

I trust in God; I drink, mate, and use protection. God knows why we have come to Earth, and He knows when we are going to leave. There are many people I know who have taken care of themselves, but they left. There are people who don't take care of themselves, get sick, and recover.

I believe God is managing affairs and that He doesn’t need any advice from me. With God in charge, I believe that everything will work out for the best in the end. So what is there to worry about?

When you say, I don’t know exactly what God is doing, but I know he’s in control—that’s evidence you’re trusting Him.

In the name of God, I put my trust in God. O God, I seek refuge in Thee lest I stray or be led astray or cause injustice or suffer injustice or do wrong or have wrong done to me!

I tried to believe that there is a God, who created each of us in His own image and likeness, loves us very much, and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize, something is fucked up.

I think I've learned more about that over the years. You can't solve everything, and God is the one who is ultimately in control of the world.
