Every creature who is moved to attain and perceive Him will be cast back by the splendour of His majesty, nor is there anyone who cranes his neck to see Him whose glance is not turned aside in amazement.

I will rouse you from your sleep, you who have given yourself up to recitation, who have taken the study of the Qur’an as a practice, who have seized upon some of its outward meanings and sentences.

How long will you wander about the shore of the sea with your eyes closed to its wonders?

Was it not for you to sail through its depths in order to see its amazing things, to travel to its islands to pick its delicacies, to dive to its bottom and become rich from obtaining its jewels? Don’t you despise yourself for losing out on its pearls and jewels as you continue to look only to its shores and esoteric aspects? Haven’t you heard that the Qur’an is an ocean from which the knowledge of all ages branches out just as rivers and streams branch out from the shores of the ocean?

Don’t you envy the happiness of people who have plunged into its overflowing waves and seized red sulfur, who have dived into its depths and taken out red rubies, shining pearls and green chrysolite, who have roamed its shores and gathered gray ambergris and fresh blooming aloes wood, who have clung to its islands and found an abundance in their animals of the greatest antidote and pungent musk?

النعمة بأربعة: الإيمان والاعتقاد الصادقان والوجه الصبوح, والخلق الطيب, والخلق الطيب, والفعل الطيب والأول باختيارك والثلاثة الباقية هدية من الحق تعالى.

رسول الله صلي الله عليه و سلم قال لبعض أصحابه : اعمل لدنياك بقدر مقامك فيها ، واعمل لآخرتك بقدر بقائك فيها ، واعمل لله بقدر حاجتك إليه واعمل للنار بقدر صبرك عليها ، و إذا أردت أن تعصي مولاك ، فاطلب مكاناً لا يراك .

أيها الولد ..
من جملة ما نصح به رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أمّته أنه قال من علامات إعراض الله تعالى عن العبد اشتغاله بما لا يعنيه ،وأن امرء ذهبت ساعة من عمره في غير ما خُلِقَ له لجدير أن يطول عليه حسرته إلى يوم القيامة ،ومن جاوز الأربعين ولم يغلب عليه خيره شره فليتجهن إلى النار . وفي هذه النصيحة كفاية لأهل العلم .
أيها الولد .. النصيحة سهلة والمشكل قبولها .

Man in this world resembles the guest who was invited to partake of the hospitality of a rich man. In token of respect, the servants set before him silver washing-basins, vessels of costly stones, perfumes of musk and amber with chafing dishes. The poor guest is overjoyed at the sight of these things, thinking that they have been made his own property, and belays hold of them with the intention of retaining them. The next day, when he is upon the point of departure, they are all taken from him by force, and the measure of his disappointment and regret is clear to every person of discrimination. Seeing that this world is itself a mansion built for travellers, by the road over which they are to pass, that they may make a halt, and lay in provisions preparatory to leaving it again, he is a wise guest who does not lay bis hand upon other things than his necessary provisions, lest on the morrow when about to move on, they take them out of his hands, and he expose himself to regret and sorrow. The people of this world are

لان العلم حياة القلوب من العمى ، ونور الابصار من الظلم ،وقوة الابدان من الضعف ،يبلغ به العبد منازل الابرار والدرجات العلى ،التفكر فيه يعدل بالصيام ، ومدارسته بالقيام ، به يطاع الله عز وجل وبه يوحد ويمجد،وبه يتورع،وبه توصل الارحام وبه يعرف الحلال من الحرام وهو امام والعمل تابعه، يلهمه السعداء ويحرمه الاشقياء

A learned man said: The learned men are the lights of the ages. Each is a light in his own time giving light to the people of his time.

فالعجب ممن يتعب طول العمر في طلب العلم ثم يقنع بمثل ذلك العلم الركيك المستغث، ويظن بأنه ظفر بأقصى مقاصد العلوم! ـ

العوامُّ المشتغلونُ بالحِرَفِ والصناعاتِ يجبُ أن يُترَكُوا على سلامة عقائدهم التي اعتقدوها مَهْمَا تلقَّنُوا الاعتقادَ الحقَّ الذي ذكرناه
(ج1/ص339)

ثم تفكرت في نیتي في التدریس فإذا هي غیر خالصة لوجه الله تعالى ، بل باعثهاومحركها طلب الجاه وانتشار الصیت ؛ فتیقنت أني على شفا جُرُف هار ، وأني قدأشفیت على النار ، إن لم أشتغل بتلافي الأحوال.

وكذلك الغضب... إذا زاد سهل عليه الضرب والقتل، وإذا نقص ذهبت الغيرة والحمية في الدين والدنيا، وإذا توسط كان الصبر والشجاعة والحكمة
