Eerlijk gezegd heb ik hartgrondig het land aan de moderne Duitsche kunst [ze bedoelt de ].. ..Ik vind dat geen kunst. 't Is Journalistiek. Als je een ding van Braque ziet, daar zit kultuur in. Ja, interessant is 't [de Duitse moderne kunst], maar interessant is een akelig woord; dat is nou juist een woord, dat op die kunst past, vooral op . Die menschen groeien niet.
